ITSRG Partners

ITSRG has partnered with youth serving, education, information technology and research organizations to provide information technology literacy programs to k-12 aged students since 2002. We wish to acknowledge the generous support of these organizations here.

Philadelphia Youth Network

ITSRG and PYN have partnered to provide resources for students in the BITS Program to gain work development training and job readiness experiences. PYN has generously funded ITSRG to provide paid internship, service learning and information technology work experiences for over 1000 high school students throughout the past seven years.

The Education Technology Group of the School District of Philadelphia

ITSRG and the Education Technology Group have partnered for the past five years to mount a parent outreach program related to the NSF Funded BITS Program. Outreach activities include hosting workshops to train parents on how to use information and communication technologies, creating easy to understand materials about how to obtain and configure low cost computers, and family technology literacy programs at schools and in homes. We specialize in providing student mentors with special technology skills and spanish language fluency to support these outreach activities. We also conduct focus groups to assess the value of activities for families served by the School District of Philadelphia.
